Tualatin Police Investigate Suspicious Encounter
On Saturday, October 20, 2012, at approximately 9:30pm, Tualatin Police Officers responded to a reported suspicious encounter near the 19500 block of SW 53rd Avenue, in Tualatin.
When officers arrived, they learned that a female, 14 years of age, was out looking for her dog in the dark when she had a brief encounter with an unknown adult male. The female reported that the male, while standing in front of her, pulled on her shirt, touched her arms, and tried to put his hand over her mouth. The female was able to run away and call police.
The male was described as Caucasian, approximately 20 years of age, 6’ tall, with a slim build, wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans.
At this time Tualatin Police consider this incident suspicious, but there is no indication that the encounter was forceful or sexual in nature.
The victim and her family ask for privacy and do not wish to be contacted by the media for questioning.
Tualatin Police ask anyone with any information pertaining to this event to please call the dispatch non-emergency line, 503-629-0111.
Tualatin Public Information Officers will not be available for comment on this incident until Tuesday, October 23rd at 8:00am.
