Altercation leads to stabbing, suspect arrested
On Sunday, May 26th, 2024 at approximately 5:42 PM Tualatin Police Officers responded to a reported stabbing at the Todd Village Apartments located at 8325 SW Mohawk Street.
When officers arrived, they found an injured 49 year old male at the scene and learned that the suspect had fled in a vehicle. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
A short time later, Sherwood Police located and stopped the suspect vehicle on SW Tualatin-Sherwood Road. The suspect, 58 year old Christopher Knapp of Newberg was taken into custody.
The victim and suspect are known to each other and the incident followed a dispute between them.
Knapp was arrested and charged with Assault in the First Degree and lodged at the Washington County Jail.
