Avoid Black Friday Car Break Ins
Black Friday is nearly upon us and the time when most people begin their major holiday shopping. Please be vigilant in parking lots, while getting into and out of your vehicles. If possible, park your car in well-lit, populated areas. Avoid dark areas where would-be thieves might be lurking.
Remember, anything you leave within eyesight in your car is a temptation for a thief, even if you know it isn’t worth much. If you need to store your shopping bags in your vehicle while you continue to shop, place them in a locked vehicle trunk where they cannot be seen.
To save yourself the expense of a new car window or door lock, please keep your car in show room condition with all valuables and not so valuable items out of sight.
Tualatin Police wish you a blissful Black Friday! Please remember to be patient and kind to others as you search for those deals.
