Avoid Door to Door Scams
Beware of door to door scammers! Don't be fooled by sweet talking sales people coming to your door soliciting money for so-called charitable organizations or a what sounds like a good cause. Make sure you do your research and ask the right questions.
1) Is it a well-known charity?
2) Is it registered with the government?
3) How much money goes to the victims?
4) If it's a business, do they have a valid business license in the City of Tualatin. Ask to see a copy of the license.
Play it safe and never let them in your home. Don't be afraid to ask them to wait outside for a moment, or come back in a few minutes, to give you time to look up the name of their business or charitable organization on the web. A quick internet search can often lead to enough information to make an informed decision.
Don't let scammers dupe you out of your hard-earned money.
