On July 13, 2016 at about 3:05AM, Officers from the Tualatin Police Department were dispatched to SW Upper Boones Ferry Road, near SW Durham Road in the City of Durham for a call of a traffic crash involving a motorcycle.
A passerby found the crash and alerted police and medical personnel. Upon arrival, officers located the crash off the roadway on the west side of SW Upper Boones Ferry Road. The operator of the motorcycle was found deceased at the scene.
Initial information from the investigation led officers to believe that the motorcycle failed to negotiate a corner, left the roadway and struck a tree. It is unknown at this time if there were any other factors that contributed to the crash.
The operator of the motorcycle, Omar Ramirez-Lopez, 33, of Tualatin was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or have information regarding the crash, is asked to contact Tualatin Police at 503-629-0111.
