Hit & Run Suspect Caught in Wendy’s Drive-thru
On Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at approximately 1:00 pm, Tualatin Police responded to a report of a hit and run crash at the intersection of SW Tualatin-Sherwood Road and SW Martinazzi Avenue, in Tualatin.
When officers arrived they learned that the suspect was driving a maroon van in the outside lane, eastbound on SW Tualatin-Sherwood Road. The victim was driving a box truck westbound on SW Tualatin-Sherwood Road. The suspect suddenly executed an illegal left turn onto SW Martinazzi Avenue, from the outside lane, hitting the victim’s box truck on the front passenger side bumper. No injuries were sustained in the crash.
When the victim contacted the suspect to see if he was okay, the suspect uttered confusing and threatening statements and then drove away from the scene. A short time later, while having lunch, local police officers from surrounding agencies witnessed the driver of the van ram into the Wendy’s drive-thru directional sign and a small tree. The driver was taken into custody at that time.
The suspect was identified as 30 year old, Elnando L. Broussard, of Portland. Mr. Broussard was charged with two counts of hit and run. He is being lodged in the Washington County Jail and booking photos can be obtained there.
Nothing further.
