Man Hit By Train in Tualatin
On Friday, November 27, 2015, at about 11:30 pm,Tualatin Police units responded to the 18800 block of SW Boones Ferry Road on a report of a person hit by a Portland Western train that was currently stopped and blocking SW Tualatin Sherwood Road. A few minutes later, police units responding to the area discovered a 35 year old, white male adult who had abrasions on his lower torso, just west of the WES platform. The unidentified man, who had no identification, was conscious, alert, and breathing when contacted by police and medical personnel.
Public works was paged out to assist with traffic control and accident investigation. The unidentified man was transported to OHSU with non-life threatening injuries. It is unknown what the man was doing on the tracks and alcohol may have been a contributing factor in this incident. The tracks were cleared at around 1:30 am.
