Possible Cougar Sighting in Durham Park
Today at approximately 11:45 am, Tualatin Police received a report of a possible cougar sighting at Durham Park. The anonymous caller reported seeing the animal at around 10:00 am on the far end of the north loop of the park. Tualatin officers walked the park trails but were unable to locate the cougar.
Tualatin Police Department echoes the advice of our partners with Tigard Police Department after recent cougar sightings in their area, in that we recommend people remain vigilant and cautious while using parks and trails and refrain from being alone in those areas. If anyone observes a cougar they are urged to call 9-1-1 immediately to report it.
