TUALATIN POLICE ASSIST U.S. MARSHALL'S IN APPREHENSION OF WANTED SUBJECT
On March 4, 2013, Tualatin Police were notified by members of the U.S. Marshal's Office of a male subject who was wanted for an outstanding Federal arrest warrant. The U.S. Marshal's informed police that the subject was inside a residence in Tualatin.
Tualatin Officers responded to the area, and blocked off neighborhood streets in the area of Ibach Park. The male subject was known to have a history of weapons related criminal activity, and was believed to possibly be in possession of firearms and body armor.
Based upon this information, Tualatin Police requested assistance from the Washington County Tactical Negotiations Team. Shortly after arriving on scene, officers contacted the wanted subject as he was attempting to leave the residence. He was taken into custody without incident.
The subject arrested was identified as Fredric Dean, age 34. Mr. Dean was taken into custody and lodged by U.S. Marshal's Office.
Ibach Park and the streets surrounding the area where closed for about an hour during the incident. All roads and the park are re-opened at this time.
