TUALATIN POLICE INVESTIGATE SINGLE VEHICLE FATAL CRASH
On 09/24/12 at about 12:18AM, Tualatin Police officers responded to the 8500 block of SW Tualatin Sherwood Road for a single vehicle traffic crash.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers located a 2004 Honda Element that had impacted a tree. Officers located a single female occupant of the vehicle. The female driver was pronounced deceased at the scene shortly after emergency crews arrived.
Witnesses to the crash stated the vehicle, which was traveling eastbound on Tualatin Sherwood Road, crossed into the westbound travel lane and struck a tree on the north side of the roadway head-on. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Larissa Marie Ree, 42, of Estacada, OR.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. It is unknown what factors if any led to the crash.
No further information at this time.
